Rebelde se Nace is the new Scalpers campaign conducted by the director Bruce ST. Clair, working hand to hand with the prestigious Wunderman Thompson agency.
Scalpers has always been characterized by rebellion, a value represented in our logo: the skull, which in some way symbolizes the spirit of doing things differently. For this reason, this year, we dare to vindicate the protagonist of Christmas for 2021 years: JESUS CHRIST. The rebel by excellence, the historical figure who fought the most against the established power.
The objective of our campaign is to invite you to reflect: what do you want to celebrate? A stereotypical Christmas as always? Or, a way of being and living?

THE ACTOR / JHONATHAN SAXBY
NAME: JHONATHAN SAXBY
BORN IN: LONDON
Jonathan Saxby, half-French, half-English, is the star of our campaign.
He was discovered by a London agency when he was walking with his brother in Portobello Market.
His career as a model and actor is extensive and he has starred on the covers and in advertisements for brands all over the world. His hobbies include boxing, kickboxing and poker.
Wunderman Thompson Spain is the result of the merger in January 2020 of three agencies: Wunderman, J Walter Thompson and *S,C,P,F... It belongs to the WPP group, a world leader in Marketing Communications, has 20,000 employees in 90 countries and here in Spain has offices in Madrid and Barcelona.
Their creative capabilities, their role as consultants and their experience in data and technology allow them to offer services that add value to brands and inspiration throughout the entire brand and consumer experience.

Bruce began his professional career in London, at the faculty of art and interior design. He has always tried to approach his work from an artistic or at least a more personal perspective.
The world of advertising has given him the opportunity to bring into focus aspects that are fundamental to him such as narrative, feelings and emotions, beauty, the use of colour, visual language and composition.
From 20 December, a two-week wild postering campaign will be launched in the cities of Madrid, Seville and Barcelona. The poster, the work of Wunderman Thompson, recreates the most contemporary image of the Baby Jesus to date. A baby in a Scalpers bodysuit accompanied by the slogan REBELDE SE NACE. The poster will have a QR Scan it to see the full video!
To mark the launch of the Rebel is Born campaign, Scalpers has made a limited edition onesie for all babies born on 24 December. They will be distributed in a network of both public and private hospitals in Spain. All babies born on the night of December 24th and 25th will receive a Scalpers onesie as a gift to celebrate the fact that they share the same date of birth as the rebel par excellence: Jesus Christ. The character in History who fought the most against the established power.
